I agree with Fred
A comedy?? Maybe if you remember the reservation clerk saying on the telephone, "Your flight leaves at ten thirty o'clock" then maybe it qualifies as a comedy, but that was the sole comic line I recall. Other than that it was enjoyable even if you knew he was taking the loot back once the girl walked into the bar to order a bottle of Napoleon Brandy and you KNEW more than you know that cat manure stinks that the woman was going to show up on the terrace in Hawaii at the end. Then again I can count on one finger the movies here where the guy doesn't get the girl in the end.

File under "advert: United Airlines"
Weakly plotted travelogue in drag with one very nice closeup.

Very Enjoyable Flick
I was very impressed with this movie. It definitely kept my interest and I liked how the ending evolved. Gene Raymond I thought was a little stiff in the lead role, but the bad guy Francis Lederer was great and Osa Massen was very compelling as the leading lady.

Light and pleasant
Fate brings an embezzler, a blackmailer and his victim together on a flight to Hawaii. The simple story develops organically from there until fate intervenes once again near the end. Only a happy ending can be expected from a film like this, so there is no suspense. The film is nicely paced, dragging only in the exposition scene. An enjoyable 72 minute diversion.
I downloaded the 256kb mpeg4 file. Audio and video are fine. No complaints.

Great movie
This is listed as a comedy? I thought it was more a thriller or suspense. No real laughs. But a great storyline. Good copy too. Three main characters, and all well played. White collar crime, murder, and blackmail? Not comedy!
But a wonderful movie...highly recommended.

Worth watching
I thought it was a nice film. A guy runs away with a million bucks (a LOT more money back in 1948 than now). On the plane to Honolulu the mess starts as he sits opposite to the wrong woman. Or maybe not?
BTW some nice footage showing beautiful old passenger planes.
